<span style="color: #222222;">The State Agriculture Minister M.R.K.Paneerselvam has said that the Government has made all arrangements for the availability of vegetables and fruits through local bodies during the lockdown period. In a statement today, he explained that 1610 vehicles will be used to sell vegetables in Chennai and 2770 vehicles will be used in other districts. All the vegetables and fruits will be procured from farmers in nearby areas. He asked the farmers to make use of the cold storage facilities as the State has storages upto a capacity of around 19 thousand metric tonnes. The Minister said that vegetables and fruits could be availed through carts from 7 am to 1 pm everyday during the complete lock down period upto May 31st.</span><br />
