<span style="color: #222222;">The Ministry of External Affairs has said that 16 more Passports Seva Kendra (PSK) and 428 Post Office Passports Seva Kendra (POPSK) have been opened since May 2014 in the country.<br />'' <br />'' In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, the Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan informed that to ease the passport issuing process the Government is constantly expanding the effective technical infrastructure like increasing the number of PSK and POPSKs.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister added that till May 2014 there were only 77 PSKs in the country while the number of POPSKs was nil.<br />'' <br />''He said m-Passport Seva mobile app is functional for common citizens which enables applicants to apply, pay, and get scheduled appointments easily for passport services. </span><br />
