<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister for Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad today informed that over 16 lakh cases are pending in the High Courts while around 66 lakh cases are pending for five years or more in the District and Subordinate Courts in the country.<br />'' <br />''In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Mr Prasad said, 4,19,378 cases are pending in the Allahabad High Court which is the highest among all High Courts. He also said, 24,67,929 are cases pending in District and Subordinate Courts of Uttar Pradesh followed by Bihar wherein 9,29,823 cases are pending. </span>
