In Iraq, 16 people were killed today and more than 70 wounded in over a dozen bomb attacks in and around Baghdad. The series of blasts this morning involved 12 roadside bombs, three vehicles laden with explosives and one suicide attack. An interior ministry official said, the deadliest attack killed 10 people and wounded 15 others in a suicide bomb attack Taji town, north of the capital. The dead included six policemen. An official said, a car bomb had initially gone off in the town, and when residents and ambulance crews arrived at the scene, the suicide bomber blew himself up.
