In Iraq, at least 16 people have been killed in a suicide bomb attack on pilgrims in north-east Baghdad. At least 38 other pilgrims were hurt in the attack, which happened as they made a pilgrimage to Karbala. Police said a woman detonated her suicide vest in Boub El Sham district at a refreshment stall as pilgrims walked by. The targets were Shia pilgrims who are continuing to mark the Arbaeen, the end of 40 days of mourning for the death of Prophet Muhammad's grandson.
