The last day of the Commonwealth games will offer 16 gold medals today. Medals will be up for grabs in Marathon, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Badminton, Hockey, Net Ball and Table Tennis events. India will be hoping for a golden day in its quest to dislodge England from the second place in the medals table. Men’s and Women’s Marathon will be taking place today. In women's marathon host hopes lie with Lakshmi Rao Preethi while while in men's section Ram Singh Yadav and Bining Llyngkhoi will be on the track for the gold. Tanzania and Australia will be going for their third successive wins in the Men’s and Women’s Marathon respectively. In Badminton, all eyes will be on the Saina Nehwal. She clashes with Malaysia's Wong Mew Choo for the top place in women's singles, while India's Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa will seek the gold in Women's Doubles. Overall, 5 golds will be decided in Badminton, today. Intense public focus will be on Hockey, where India will take on world champions Australia for gold. Four Golds will be decided at Gymnastics Rhythmic in Rope, Hoop, Ball and Ribbon events while 3 gold will be on stake in Table Tennis events. India is already assured of one bronze in Table-Tennis with Sharath Kamal and Saumyadeep Roy facing each other for the third place. India will also be hoping for another bronze from Mauma Das and Paulomi Ghatak in women's doubles. India will also be keeping a keen eye on England's performanace on the last day. India are one gold behind England and the host will be hoping to surpass its tally. England are in contention for three golds in Badminton. England could also manage some medals in Gymnastics and Athletics.
