Work for the 15th Census of India, which will be held in the year 2011, has started. Twenty Seven lakh volunteers are being deputed in the country out of which 55 thousand will complete the work of census in Punjab. This was disclosed by the Census Officer of Govt. of India, Madhav Shyam who was in Jalandhar on Wednesday, to start a three-day workshop for training of Master Trainers for Jalandhar District. They would further train Census Department employees for population counting.AIR Jalandhar correspondent reports that in Punjab, 1211 Master Trainers will be trained for giving further training to concerned employees for the final census.
