15,200 crore rupees annual plan finalised for Odisha

The Planning Commission has finalised an annual plan size worth of 15,200 crore rupees for Odisha for the year 2011-12. The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held in New Delhi between the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik. Mr Ahluwalia complimented the State Government for the progress achieved in many areas. He said Odisha is figuring amongst the States doing well in poverty eradication and human development. He said satisfactory progress has been recorded in social sectors including education and health in the state.
