In Andaman and Nicobar islands, the Coast Guard ship Durgabai Deshmuk apprehended 15 Myanmarese poachers along with their boat from the high sea off Land Fall Island today. During its routine patrol in the northern group of islands in the early morning hours, the coast guard ship detected the poaching vessel and captured it after a hot chase on high seas. A large quantity of sea cucumber has also been seized from the poachers. These Myanmarese poachers have been brought to Diglipur Island this afternoon and handed over to police for further investigation.
