Left handed opener Gautam Gambhir and paceman Ishant Sharma have returned to the Indian squad after injury lay-offs for the three-Test Cricket Series against New Zealand which begins on November 4 in Ahmedabad. The two players were recalled to the national squad by the five-member Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India which met in Chennai today. The 15-member squad has no new faces. The team, to be captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, has three fast bowlers in Zaheer Khan, S Sreesanth and Ishant and three specialist spinners comprising Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha. Out-of-form Yuvraj Singh again failed to find favour in the Test squad. The members of the Test squad are: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), VirenderSehwag (vice-captain), Gautam Gambhir, Murali Vijay, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Suresh Raina, Cheteshwar Pujara, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma, S Sreesanth, Pragyan Ojha and Amit Mishra. The first Test will be played at Ahmadabad from November 4. Hyderabad will host the second Test from November 12, while the third Test will be held in Nagpur from November 20. The Test series will be followed by five one-day series. The venues will be Guwahati, Jaipur, Vadodara, Bangalore and Chennai.
