Chief Election Commissioner Naseem Ahmed Zaidi today said that 15 lakh VVPAT machines will be purchased by September 2018.<br/><br/>Addressing a conference in Chandigarh, he said that after the purchase of VVPAT machines, India will become the first country of the world where 100 percent voters would get the confirmation about their polled votes. Mr Zaidi said, stress will be given on more election reforms and measures will be taken to check the use of drugs, liquor, money and gifts in elections.<br/><br/>The representatives of various political parties were also present in the conference. The conference was organised by Punjab University, Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and an NGO Punjab and Haryana Election Watch.<br/>
