In West Bengal, fifteen persons were killed in a road accident at Dayanhat in CoochBehar district on Sunday. The incident occurred when the passenger bus fell into road side ditch. According to the official sources, eleven persons killed on the spot while remaining others died at the local hospital. The injured passengers have been admitted into Dayanhat Hospital in the district. The – bus was going to Dinhata from Cooch Behar. AIR correspondent reports that local people started brick batting protesting late arrival of doctors to treat the injured. Few police personnel including one DSP were injured in the brickbatting. Additional police force has been deployed in the area to bring the situation under control.
