In Pakistan, at least 15 people were killed in three US drone strikes in North Waziristan today. Officials in Miranshah said US drones fired multiple missiles on two suspected hideouts and a vehicle. At least 11 suspected militants have been killed and many were injured. A security official said the drones were still flying over the area. Another security official in Miranshah confirmed the attacks in Mandi Khel and Ghoresti areas of the agency. Mandi Khel and the surrounding area is a known stronghold of the militant Islamist Haqqani network.
