15 killed, 50 injured in Maharashtra road accident

In Maharashtra, fifteen persons were charred to death and fifty injured in a road mishap that took place due to a head-on collision of two buses on the Aurangabad-Nagpur State Highway in Buldhana district early this morning.Police said, the two private luxury buses carrying passengers to Aurangabad and Nagpur rammed into one another, while coming from opposite directions, at Chincholi between Mehkar and Sultanpur towns and caught fire immediately.Thirteen persons died on the spot and two more succumbed to the burn injuries while being shifted to the nearby hospital.The injured people have been rushed to Mehkar and Sindkhedraja Rural Hospital as well as Buldhana District and Ghati Civil Hospital in Aurangabad. The fire was extinguished within a short span of time.AIR correspondent reports, the death toll may go up as many of the injured passengers are in a critical condition.
