In Nepal, the 15 day long Dasain festival, the greatest festival of the Hindus began from today with the celebration of Ghatastapna. Bara Dasain, the longest and the most auspicious of Hindu festivals is celebrated by the Nepalese of all castes and creed throughout the country.
