14th edition of MIFF to begin today

The 14th edition of Mumbai International Festival for Documentary, Short and Animation Films will begin today. The inaugural function will be held this evening in the presence of Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, eminent filmmaker Shyam Benegal and Brand Ambassador of MIFF 2016 Jackie Shroff. <br/><br/>Wildlife film maker Naresh Bedi's 'Cherub of the Mist' staring two cute red pandas will be the opening film; while a short film 'Second Wind' and animation film 'The Present' will also be screened at Ravindra Natya Mandir. Out of a record number of 831 entries from 25 countries, MIFF 2016 will showcase 385 movies till 3rd of February across selected locations in Mumbai. This prestigious biennial event is organized by Films Division and is supported by the Government of Maharashtra.
