Officials in Cambodia say 14 people were killed after their tractor hit an abandoned landmine in the northwestern Battambang province. They said the tractor was bringing labourers back working in the field when the driver took a shortcut. Twelve people were killed on the spot and two died on the way to a hospital. Thousands of mines remain in Cambodia from the civil war in the 1980s.
