In Afghanistan, 14 militants were killed during an operation in Wardak province 40 km west of capital Kabul late last night. Provincial administrator Shahidullah Shahid said one of the Taliban commanders Mullah Tawab was among those killed. Reports say that Afghan army and police raided Taliban hideouts in Syedabad district late last night which continued until this morning, during which 14 Taliban fighters were killed. There has been no comment from the Taliban so far .
