14 militants gunned down in Pak military offensive

At least 14 militants were killed while six soldiers lost their lives during the military operation in tribal areas of Pakistan in the last 24 hours. An army statement on Saturday said the security forces conducted search and clearance operations in South Waziristan on three axises. During the operation in Razmak and Mkeen area, huge cache of arms and ammunition were recovered. According to the army statistics, Pakistani security forces have killed more than 540 militants since they launched the ground assault in South Waziristan on October 17. The army said, about 30,000 soldiers are in place to take on an estimated 10,000 hard-core Taliban militants in the lawless area.<br/>
