In Sikkim, fourteen persons died in a landslide trigerred by incessant rains in West Sikkim district last night. Relief and rescue work is going on by the District administration, police and fire brigade officials along with local NGOs and villagers. Six bodies had been recovered so far.AIR Gangtok correspondent, reports that the landslide triggered in a hundred feet area engulfed a house below the hill at Tikjek-Lingchom village, some three kilometers away from the famous Pema-Yangtsey Monastery. The victims included those living on rent in the house. More details are awaited.
