In Karnataka, 14 people have died and crops in over 5763 hectares of land damaged following incessant rain and flooding in 15 districts of the state caused by Jal cyclone. Eight tanks in Chitradurga district are overflowing. Four relief camps are working which have rehabilitated 370 people. Eight tanks in Hassan and three tanks in Davangere are damaged and overflowing. Dharwad, Mysore, Chitradurga, Tumkur and Davangere districts have faced biggest infrastructure losses.The met department forecast says, moderate to rather heavy rain would occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka & South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.
