14 crores toilets have been built in last 4 years in country, which is world record: VP Venkaiah Naidu

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has said that today he is feeling satisfied, after coming to Ranchi, that cleanliness is fast becoming a people movement, as desired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He complemented the present state government for taking the state from 16 per cent, four years ago,  to 96 percent at present, in areas covered free from open defecations. He said that 14 crores toilets have been built in last four years in the country, which is a world record.<br />'' <span style="font-weight: bold;"> </span><br />''   <br />'' He was speaking at a function of " Swacchata hi Seva" awareness in Ranchi. He said there has been marked decreased in numbers of people getting common water born disease, due to this.<br />''   <br />'' Earlier Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu felicitated sanitation champions from different parts of state for their outstanding contributions in Swachha Bharat Mission.<br />''   <br />'' Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghuwar Days in address said that all sanitation workers should create greater awareness among people to use toilets. He said all toilets in rural areas would be given water connection soon.<br />''   <br />
