14 civilians including schoolchildren killed in roadside bombing in Burkina Faso

In Burkina Faso, fourteen civilians including many schoolchildren were killed today when a roadside bomb blew up their bus, in Sourou province near the Mali border. <br />'' <br />'' Four people were seriously hurt in the blast.<br />'' <br />'' An Islamist insurgency has ignited ethnic and religious tensions in Burkina Faso, especially in northern areas bordering Mali. <br />'' <br />'' Earlier on December 25 last year, Jihadists had killed 35 civilians, almost all of them women, in double attacks in one of the deadliest assaults in nearly five years in the country.<br />''
