In Bihar, 139 candidates out of 490 have criminal charges pending against them in the 35 assembly constituencies going to poll in the fifth phase on Tuesday. Of them, 75 candidates, including six women, have serious cases pending against them. An NGO National Election Watch has said almost all major political parties have given tickets to candidates with criminal background.
