137 Indian workers detained by Kuwaiti authorities in alleged visa misuse released

The Indian Embassy in Kuwait is reaching out to over 1000 Indian workers detained by Kuwaiti authorities over alleged misuse of visa. The Charge de Affairs of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, Vidhu P Nair told All India Radio that a team of embassy officials visited 3 police stations and found that 50 workers detained there have been released. Similarly 87 detained workers were released from three other police stations. Mr. Nair told that exact number of detained Indian workers is likely to be known by the end of this week after conducting visits at all 35 police stations.
