The National Disaster Response Force, NDRF has so far evacuated 35 thousand people and rescued over 13 hundred people from the flood affected areas of Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. <br/><br/>In a press release, the NDRF said its 119 flood rescue teams comprising trained and dedicated responders are working on war footing in the affected areas. In Bihar, the rescue operations are in full swing and 27 NDRF teams are deployed to carry out operations. <br/><br/>In Uttar Pradesh, 23 flood rescue teams have been deployed and four teams have been airlifted from NDRF base Pune to the State. <br/><br/>In Assam,19 NDRF teams are carrying out rescue operations and responders are making the best use of their proficiency and professionalism to rescue the flood victims. <br/><br/>In West Bengal, 11 NDRF teams are engaged in rescue and relief operations and today four additional teams are being airlifted from NDRF base Arrakonam to the State.
