The government has said, 130 telemedicine centres are functional across the country. The major services under the programme include regular tele-consultation in the area of General medicine and various specialties and Women and Child healthcare. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh said, telemedicine facilities are established in various states and the Union Territories including North Eastern States. <br/><br/>He said, a sum of rupees 240 lakhs has been provisionally provided for the current fiscal.
