In Mexico, 13 people from a drug gang were killed by the Mexican Navy near the border with Texas, USA. The Mexican Navy said that marines patrolling the Falcon Lake indulged in a fierce gunbattle with the gang after a drug camp was discovered on an island. One marine and 12 gunman from the Zetas drug cartel was killed. The navy said in a statement today that the Zetas were smuggling marijuana from the camp into Texas by speedboat. More than 20 guns, including several assault rifles were seized.
