With less than a month remaining, preparation for the 12th SAF Games are on is full swing. The prestigious event will begin in Guwahati and Shillong from 5th of February. Union Sports minister Sarbanand Sonowal launched the volunteers training program yesterday in Guwahati. Mr. Sonowal stressed that everybody should work as a team to make the event a grand success. With the launch of the volunteers training programme, the countdown for the Games has started. The Organising Committee has already started media accreditation process. Guwahati will host athletics, shootingand swimming competition besides others event. On the other hand, archrery, wushu , judo and some other events will be held in Shillong. The logo and mascot of the game has already been launched.Eight member countries of South Asian Federation, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives , Afghanistan and Sri Lanka, besides hosts India will take part in the event.
