The 12th edition of the Bangalore India Nano conference that kick-started yesterday has virtual participation from over 10 countries including Israel, Japan, and Germany, and is dwelling on subjects ranging from nano-medicine, nano photonics, nano textiles to hydrogen technology. The academia, industry experts, entrepreneurs, and start-ups have come on one platform. Speaking during one of the sessions yesterday, Dr. S Swaminathan informed us that nanotechnology-based treatment is being developed to treat cardiac ailments. He explained that the Cardiac patches made of nano-fibers, designed and developed in India will effectively treat heart patients. Another finding is the skin tissue grafting technique to treat wounds caused due to accidents and diabetes.
