Indonesian authorities say 122 of the Haj pilgrims from the country have died in Mecca during the pilgrimage rites. A statement issued by the Religious Affairs Ministry today said most of the deaths were caused by health problems like circulatory disorders and respiratory problems. As the world's largest Muslims-populated country, Indonesia always send the largest number of hajj pilgrims to Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia during the hajj pilgrimage season. This year, the country sent more than 2.24 lakh Muslims for Haj pilgrimage.
