Nearly one lakh twenty one thousand tonnes of pulses have been seized so far during the de-hoarding operations launched by several States. An official release in New Delhi said, over nine thousand raids were conducted across the country during the operation. States have been advised to continue the drive further under the Essential Commodities Act against hoarders. It said, States are also opening more outlets to make pulses available at reasonable rates and prices of Arhar Dal at Wholesale as well as at retail outlets have shown continued declining trends.
