120 passengers stranded due to blockade of Srinagar- kargil highway

In Jammu and Kashmir, around 120 passengers are still held up due to blockade of Srinagar- kargil national highway following heavy snow fall and non availability of any other means of transport at Kargil. The stranded passengers, most of whom are the labourers from Jammu and Kashmir region are facing problems like accommodation, food, medicine and other essential commodities. AIR Kargil correspondent Anayat Ali reports, some of them are reported fallen sick due to severe cold as the temperature has rolled down up to -17 degree celcious in the area.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the State Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla told our Jammu correspondent that the Government will take up the issue with the district administration and necessary action will be taken at the earliest.
