Government today said that Ministry of Tourism has identified 120 monuments and destinations under the Clean India Campaign. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of Tourism, Subhodh Kant Sahai has said that the Campaign has been launched to sensitize the people on the importance of cleanliness and hygiene at public places including important monument and tourist destinations.

He added that the objective of the campaign is to ensure the acceptable level hygienic practices through ownership and involvement of private and public sector stakeholders.
