In China, a criminal who molested and killed a 12-year-old girl has been executed in northeast Jilin Province. A court statement said Han Yuewu, 31, was sentenced to death in July 2009 by Changchun Municipal Intermediate People's Court for killing the girl in his convenience store in Jiutai city.<br/><br/>He was also ordered to pay 230,000 yuan in compensation to the victim's family. The statement said Han's death penalty was approved by the Supreme People's Court and he was executed today.<br/>
