A coal mine fire has trapped 12 workers underground in east China's Jiangxi Province. Local authorities today said ther accident took place last evening at the Miaoshang Coal Mine in Yushui district. In a statement, the district authorities said two emergency teams were struggling to rescue the trapped miners. An initial investigation indicates the fire was caused by short circuit of underground cables.
