12 Taliban insurgents killed and six others injured in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, 12 Taliban insurgents were killed and six others injured as their explosive device went off in Faryab province, 425 km northwest of capital Kabul. Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement today that the militants were making roadside bombs in a compound in Totak village of Ghormach district late on Tuesday night but suddenly the explosive material went off. As a result, 12 militants were killed and six others injured, the statement said. Two local Taliban commanders were among those killed. There has been no comment so far from the Taliban.
