In Russia, twelve militants were killed early on Sunday in a special operation conducted in the North Caucasus republic of Chechnya. Republic leader Ramzan Kadyrov said two police officers also died in the operation in the Tsentaroi village of Kurchaloyevsky district. He said among the wounded were two officers, four civilians including two minors. The RIA Novosti news agency, quoting Kadyrov said servicemen and police are currently scouring the nearby forest and the situation is controllable. Russia's North Caucasus republics of Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia saw increase in violence for the last week with media reporting on a new attack almost every day.
