In Bihar, 12 people including two children and a women were killed in thunderstorm in Sitamarhi, Madhubani and Samastipur districts during the past 24 hours. Maximum number of ten causalities were reported from Sitamarhi district. The roof of Sitamarhi station was also damaged.Agriculture scientists say the hailstorm lashing the state has damaged nearly 15 percent of standing wheat and maize crops in Terai area, adjoining Nepal and Kosi region.Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced 1.5 lakh rupees as ex-gratia payment to the next of the kin of each deceased.
