In Andhra Pradesh, 12 persons including five women and two children were killed in a road accident near Rajampet in Kadapa District this morning. Local police informed that three more were injured in the incident. Our correspondent reports that all the victims in the incident hailed from Nanded in Maharstra and on their way to Tirupati on a pilgrimage to have a Darshan of lord Balaji. The accident occurred this morning when a coal truck collided from front with the four-wheeler in which they were travelling at a road-bent at Chappavaripalle near Rajampet in Kadapa district. Kadapa Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar Sinha told reporters that 16 persons were travelling in the ill-fated vehicle and 11 died on the spot.
