The 11th edition of the South Asian Games begins at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on Friday. With a strong 331-member contingent on board, India would once again look to showcase their might and top the medals tally. Eight nations are to compete for top honours in 23 disciplines. They include the newly-introduced cricket where the competition would be held in Twenty20 format in Under-21 age group. However, India, who have sent a 231-members male and 100-members female contingent, will not be participating in cricket in the 12-day sporting extravaganza. In the last edition fours years back in Colombo, India bagged 118 golds, 69 silvers and 47 bronze medals.
