Heavy Industry and Public Sector Enterprises Minister Praful Patel and Road Transport and Highways Minister C P Joshi today formally inaugurated the 11th Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. Speaking after inaugurating the fair, Mr. Patel said India is the seventh largest auto mobile industry in the world and soon it would become the sixth largest. Mr. Joshi said government has started National Mission for Electric Vehicle Mobility project. He informed that computerization of road transport sector is complete. Indian-origin steel magnate L N Mittal was present during the inauguration. Speaking to reporters later Mr. Mittal said he was very impressed with the show and the growth potential in the auto industries. He expressed hope that this industry will build safer, cleaner and affordable cars.
