The nation pays homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 114th birth anniversary today. A number of functions are being organised throughout the country to mark the occasion. The day is also being observed as ‘Desh Prem Divas’. In West Bengal, the main programme will be held at the base of Netaji’s statue near Raj Bhavan in Kolkata where West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadev Bhattacharjee and his cabinet colleagues will be present. In Orissa, 114 birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose is being celebrated with great joy and gaity across the state . The birth place that is located in the historic city Cuttack at odia bazar has been illuminated with colour ful falgs and posters and has been organizing several factions including in the Revensaw collegiate school where Netaji had studied . The state chief minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik will garland the statute of Netaji at his birth place Janki Nath Bhavan and will attend few functions.
