In Karnataka, police have arrested eleven suspected militants belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and HUJI terrorist groups from Bangalore and Hubli. Karnataka Director General of Police Mr. L. Pachau informed that they were conspiring to target prominent politicians, Journalists and heads of some religion organisations in the state. The investigation has also revealed that such modules are active in other states also. The police is also looking into possibilities of their involvement in the recent spate of rumours spread through MMS and SMS resulting in exodus of north East people from Bangalore.
