Election fever is picking up in Bihar with 11 candidates filing their nomination papers for the first phase of assembly polls. Nationalist Congress Party – NCP – has released the list of 16 candidates for the first phase of elections in the state. CPI(ML) has also released the list of 48 candidates.AIR Correspondent reports that notification for the second phase of elections will be issued tomorrow. 45 constituencies spread across six districts of the state will go to the polls in this phase on the 24th of October. The districts are Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and East Champaran. The last day for filing of nominations for the second phase is the 6th of next month and scrutiny will be done the next day and candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till October 9.
