Eleven members of the Nigerian Parliament have been suspended after a fight broke out in the Chamber. At least one MP was injured and received treatment in hospital. The disturbances began after a group of MPs attempted to put forward a motion demanding investigation into the Speaker for suspected corruption. The MPs called for the probe after a newspaper reported allegations that some sixty million dollars in public funds had gone missing. The Speaker denied the allegations.
