Hospital sources in Pakistan say that 11 people have been killed in the bomb blast in the south-western province of Balochistan. More than 20 others were injured. The bomb was hidden in a car near a mosque in Quetta.A report says, the bomb exploded in a car parked close to a mosque. Many of the dead were worshippers who had attended a prayer service marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Local television pictures showed thick smoke rising from the scene as people ran out into the street. Emergency workers tried to reach the injured. Nearby cars were set on fire by the blast and houses damaged.Women and children are among the dead. It is not clear who organised the attack but the mosque which was targeted is used mostly by members of the Hazara community who are Shia Muslims.
