In Jammu and Kashmir eleven persons were today killed and 37 others injured in two separate accidents in Jammu Division. In the first accident in Doda district, nine persons were killed, 18 others injured, eight of them critically, when a matador in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Doda district. In another accident, two persons were killed and 19 others injured in border township of R.S.Pura in Jammu district when a private bus was on its way from Sairea Camp to Jammu turned turtle while trying to overtake another bus.AIR correspondent R.K. Raina reports from Jammu that according to official sources , the matador, which was on its way from Bhalla to Bhaderwah skidded off the road and fell into the 250-feet Nero nallah in Doda district. Soon after the receipt of the news of the accident , rescue operations were immediately launched and injured persons shifted to nearby hospitals.The deceased in Doda district include 2 women, and 7 men. Meanwhile, Minister for Roads and Buildings G.M.Saroori today expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the accident. While expressing sympathies with the bereaved families, the Minister directed the district administration to provide immediate relief to the families of the victims.
