In Arunachal Pradesh, 11 jawans are feared killed when an Army helicopter crashed mid-air just after take-off in Bomdir area of Tawang district. Sources said the MI-17 helicopter took off around noon today from the army helipad in Tawang and was on its way to Guwahati when the accident took place. The helicopter blew up in the air a few minutes after take-off and locals could see the flames and debris flying all around. All the 11 onboard are assumed to have died in the crash. So far six bodies have been retrieved and rescue operation is on. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained.
