11 Indian fishermen detained by Lanka navy released

Eleven Indian fishermen detained by Sri Lanka navy along with their fishing boat for allegedly straying into the Island nation's territorial waters were released after a overnight inquiry, today. <br/><br/>Official sources said the fishermen hailing from Threspuram hamlet in Tuticorin district had set sail into the sea for fishing in a country boat fitted with outboard engine yesterday morning.<br/><br/> While they were fishing in the high seas, a Sri Lankan naval fast craft detained them for allegedly straying into Lankan waters, mid night last night.
